Annual Christmas Traditions: Ringing The Salvation Army Bell

Our favorite Christmas tradition. With each year, I love how it continues to teach us so much over the last 4 years. The kids have learned to look everyone in the eyes and say Merry Christmas, no matter if they stop or not. They have also learned to say a heartfelt thank you no matter if they put .50 cents or $50 dollars in the kettle. They have learned to keep going even when they are tired. Above all, they have learned that they can use their talents to help others that are less fortunate, filling up 2 red kettles by covering 2 doors over 3.5 hours on this busy Saturday before Christmas.
