In August, Addison's new team with Coach Kevin Rule started off the season with 3 weekends of friendlies including the late August weekend where the Houston Challenge teams came in town. Addison is playing 50% goalie and 50% field. The girls are off to an extremely strong start. This was the team's first year playing at the more competitive club level and for a coach other than their beloved Coach Heather Boss.
September 8, 2018 - Addison had their first game vs. SAU 08G Black team and Tatum and Aunt Danielle came to cheer her on. Classics won 4-0 and Addison played goalie the first half with not much action and the 2nd half she played the field, all over the place!
September 15, 2018 - Addison had indoor Saturday morning practice with her team!
September 16, 2018 - Addison got to celebrate Mikalya's 10th birthday wtih most of their soccer team at Altitude.
September 21, 2018 - Addison headed to Austin for the UT Soccer Game with Megan P. and Ella and Allison and Ella M!
October 5, 6, & 7 was a big soccer weekend - The girls had a game each day. They won the Friday and Sunday ones, but the Saturday morning was their first defeat to Austin Texans 08G. The refs were clearly making repeated poor calls against y'all and for the other team, even seeing your normally in control coach loose his patients. But the girls came back with a victory on Sunday to SA City 08G Red.

October 14, you had a Sunday afternoon game vs. Austin Lone Star Totti team, where Coach Owen coached your team. You played goalie the ENTIRE game and I had never seen you take a loss as hard as this before. Even thought you had a dozen incredible saves, you were so terribly hard on yourself about the 2 penalty kicks you were unable to block.
October 20, you were back in San Marcos, thank goodness your games weren't cancelled, due to our 60 days of constant rain. This time with Coach Heather back coaching vs. Austin Lodestar 08/09 DeRossi Team. It was the same Lodestar coach as last weekend's emotional loss but this time you started on the field and everyone came out with energy - it was an intense one down the the very end and your guys held it out with a 2-1 victory. My favorite thing has become how you guys always pray before games and do your loud chant swaying back and forth before taking to the field. I also absolutely love how you guys, win or loose, are now always running to the parents right after you shake hands with the opposing team and give us all a high 5! Such fun and important traditions.
October 26 & 27th weekend had 2 games. The first ice was played under Friday night lights and Addison had a super exciting play when Morgan took a penalty kick and Addison jumped up and deflected it into the goal. It was pretty cool so we celebrated with an impromptu stop at Taco Cabana where they had a karaoke system set up so the girls got to sing a song!
November 10, 2018 - Addie really has been playing 50/50 goalie and field. Coach Kevin prefers for her to always start in goal. If it ends up being a tough team or it's super close, he will ask her to stay but otherwise she switches to field.
With one last regular season game Nov 17 weekend, Addison's team beat the SA United Girls team and we headed to New Mexico. But before we knew it, Dec 1 weekend was here with the Classics Black and Blue Winter Tournament and Meme came in town to cheer Addie on. The team played up to the very top 2007 bracket and WON it on Sunday afternoon!
That completed the the first half of the season but then in mid December, the team started playing indoor Futsol for the first time. The first 2 weeks, they played the same 2008 Classics boys team and lost to them both weekends in a row.
