Several weeks before my 40th birthday, Jackie was adamant that I needed a party to celebrate my big deal. I kept telling her that Blake and I are doing a big trip for my birthday in leu of a big party. I finally conceded to a simple party at Max & Louie's, as long as it was a way to celebrate with the people that I do life with each and every day and it had to include the kids! Jackie helped Blake get it planned and I am forever grateful for her pushing the issue and making it happen. It was a fun evening of having my closet people in the same room!
