I woke up early and headed to the workout room in the Amarillo hotel, where everyone found me within 12 minutes. So, before we knew it, we were off again.

Great Sand Dunes was our 4th new National Park of 2019. We stopped for a Ranger Tour, which taught us how the sand really doesn't move much, how animals burrow under the snow to stay warm and how there are a few species of bugs and plants that have adapted to the arid cold area and seem to have a form of antifreeze inside them to keep them from freezing. It was one of the warmest, blue skied days they had had in a long time so we took full advantage and went and explored the massive dunes, which are the tallest in all of North America, at 755 feet tall.
Back on the road, we still had about 3.5 hours to drive due North to get to Breckenridge, so George Straight got us there.
We were SO excited when we arrived and opened the condo garage. The first thing we did was hang our stockings, of course, still unsure if Santa would know to find us in Breckenridge, or not.
Before, we left, we had written down things that brought us joy and being in Breckenridge was on both our lists. Being in the condo game room with hot tub in Breckenridge was ideally one of our favorite places.
I'M GRATEFUL FOR:
Megan - seeing a new National Park today, listening to Addie’s loud laugh in the back seat, driving through the Colorado mountains with Blake dreaming of owning a small cabin while shopping them on Zillow, listing to Spotify and George Straight Christmas for hours, for Carolyn, Sonia, Julie has Brigitte working all together to get us our sweatshirts to Breckenridge! It was major teamwork.
BB: getting here safe and going through Hoosier pass in pitch black at 6:15PM.
CB: just being with my family on vacation.
AB: having the hot tub, game room and getting to go there right when we got here.
DB: playing Old Maid with my brother and sister in the car, when carter tricked Addie and she chose the Old Maid.
