On Carter's actual birthday, about 5 minutes before his alarm went off, I went in with the blog book of the year he was born, and I kept the lights off except with a spooky light in my face and started reading his birth story. We figured out that we have 2 different times documented as to what time he was born. I documented 9:18PM and then 10:18PM. I feel like 9:18PM was accurate and Blake thinks 10:18PM is the magic moment. To be determined the next time we pull out the old birth certificate.
Since Carter's 13th birthday fell on basketball gameday Wednesday, we didn't even all get home together until after 8PM. Thank goodness, we had celebrated multiple evenings earlier in the week, so we opened birthday gifts. For his birthday, Carter had gotten up upgraded to a iPhone 8plus from a 6s a couple of months ago, when Addison knocked his phone out of his hand, thus resulting in quicker transitions for the whole family to new phones. He also got a Amazon smart plug for his noise machine to be controlled with his voice and some snazzy new athletic tops.
