Monday was the first day for us to ski and we were ready! We left the condo at 8:15AM to get everyone checked into ski school. We got an instructor for Carter, Addison, Ella and Easton to share and it worked out great! They were all over the mountain for nearly 7 hours. Delaney went to ski school and had Charlie, as her instructor, and skied with 2 other boys. They spent the 2nd part of the day up on the mountain. While all 6 kids were at ski school, Blake and I did our traditional jetting off, as fast as we could, to enjoy Peak 6, where we love all the Blues. The mountain was not busy on December 23 and it was nice and warm, like Spring skiing. We met up with the Perkins and the 5 of us, including Mason, had fun skiing together on Peak 7, before heading back towards the kids around 3PM. When we ski'd down around 3:30, we found the older kids, and finally Delaney skied down from the main mountain with Charlie. Delaney was loving it, so all 10 of us jumped on the Quicksilver lift and headed back up. It was a fun moment to have all the Perkins and Browns at the top of Breckenridge Mountain. The older kids wanted to go to the terrain park and Delaney was all about skiing in the trees. She had a moment where she straddled a tree and we talked about safety and are so thankful that we all wear helmets. After skiing hard for 8 hours, we made our traditional birthday cake for Jesus and headed to the game room! What a great day.
I'M GRATEFUL FOR...
MB- a full day of skiing with Blake, for picking up Delaney at 3:30PM to find that she wanted to keep skiing with the whole family, for all 10 Perkins and Browns being at top of Quicksilver.
BB- skiing with Megan, all day.
DB- making the Jesus birthday cake and skiing on the big mountain with Charlie, my instructor.
AB - when I finally nailed that jump and landed it for the first time in the terrain park.
CB- Tom, my instructor, and terrain parks. The moment I was thankful for was making it all the way to the tree in the terrain park. Also, skiing with Easton all day and helping him build courage with his jumps.
