Christmas Colorado Road Trip: Day 3 - Fun in the Snow, Sledding & Getting Ready to Ski

Sunday morning, Carter was up and completely dressed by 7AM, anxious to get outside in the snow. We made him wait a few minutes until the sun was up. Delaney woke up and was surprised to see that our elf, Will Ferrell, had flown to Breckenridge, to find us. We all just relaxed and watched our favorite Christmas movie - Christmas Vacation. We were enjoying just lounging, something we rarely do as a family, so we decided to watch Elf, too! It was our ideal morning on vacation with just 2 days until Christmas. We finally got up and going mid-morning to Carter's Park in downtown Breckenridge, to sled for a couple of hours. It was so much fun. Then, were were off to pick up our ski gear and the kid's couldn't wait to put their ski's on and even went to the bunny hill, to get some practice in. Carter and I got some one-on-one time exploring in the forest while the girls and Blake started working on a gingerbread house. At the end of the day, we ended up in our favorite hot tub, just soaking in the memories, both past and present.

I'M GRATEFUL FOR...

MB- watching Christmas vacation all together, early in the morning, laughing so hard at all our favorite quotes, the delicious York peppermint hot chocolate, the morning drinks Blake and I had, the slow day with absolutely no plans and just time to be together. The day's gorgeous sunny weather and going to bed by 7PM. The excitement all the kids had to ski, but especially Carter and our one on-one time together late this afternoon.

BB- for waking up to see the view outside our favorite window, that Will Ferrell found us, watching carter getting up and dressed to go outside at 7:10AM and finding the Walkie Talkie buried in the snow that Delaney lost.

DB- watching the movie, Elf, with the family and seeing that Will F had come with us to Colorado.

AB - York peppermint hit chocolate and watching Elf.

CB- Carter’s Park and sledding for a couple of hours.
