We love our December traditions!
- We love when December comes and our wall starts filing up with family and friends' Christmas cards. (They will remain up till February, at least!)
- Will Ferrel, our elf, was reenergized this year and got really creative showing up in all kinds of wild spots and with fun gifts this year.
- We got a new Christmas tree this year so it was exciting getting it up.
- Of course, our 10 year tradition of 25 days of Advent Christmas book reading was in full swing.
- The famous Windcrest Neighborhood Christmas lights were fun and Delaney's favorite was the Eiffel Tower.
- The kids continued their tradition of giving me a Christmas tree to add to my collection marking yet another year of being a mom.
- The neighborhood's Annual Santa Cookie Meet and Greet was filled with lots of neighborhood friends, crafts and of course, sugar!
- With this Winter being exceptionally cold, we had many family game nights.
- Making and decorating cookies was of course a big highlight!
- We also had our traditional ginger bread house decorating, this year mixing it up with a nativity instead of regular house.
- We did our daily Meaningful Christmas Advent Tree and this year.
- We also started a new tradition with a traditional Advent Candle Wreath that we lit the 4 Sundays prior to Christmas. It's proven to be a great way to start building new, non-Santa or gift giving focused traditions, as the kids get older. I had the the candle holder made in Germany and I hope will used for generations to come.
