Dear My 11 Year Old Carter,
4015 and days on this Earth and you still amaze me every single day. Your heart, you motivation, your responsibility, your love and tenderness combination is mind boggling. I keep thinking you are on the verge of changing but perhaps it is who God made you to be.
You are a Christ follower and confident in your Christian beliefs and more knowledgeable of the Bible at 11 years old than I am at 38 years old. You have been my inspiration to learn more.
Your memory is astounding. Simply amazing. I pray that you do great things with that memory, in life.
One of my very favorite traditions that you have organically created is always getting home late from soccer or basketball practice with dad, and coming to the far other side of the house to find me and give me a hug. I pray that never changes.
It's not all perfect, you and I have our moments and when I get on to you about not flushing your toilet for the 400th time or forgetting to take your violin to school for the 2nd time in a month and you just stare at me with those gigantic brown eyes.
You are going to do amazing things Carter Brown, both this year and in life and I am so thankful you are mine!
Love,
Mom
