We Finished The Action Bible On Christmas Eve

At LLFC in early June, as a family, we made a commitment to read the Bible all together in 2017 and 11 weeks later (3 months), we reached the half way mark of the 744 pages on Labor Day! It has been life changing for all of us but personally, for me, as I feel as though I know more about the Bible and it's overall framework now than ever before. Even when my pastor refers to something in his sermon, many times, I know exactly what he is talking about and it feels so good! It took 37 years and a kids' Bible to do it. We ALL absolutely love listening to one another read it and the kids have written their key take-a-way after ever single story. This week we went to for frozen yogurt to celebrate such a big accomplishment.

It will be tough to make our goal of reading the very last Revelation - Final Days Story on Christmas Eve but we will try.....

Fast forward this entire Fall and we stayed on track with our reading schedule. There were a few days we would fall behind but we would make it a priority to get caught up. It was amazing to see how Carter and Addison knew most of the Bible stories and Blake and I were truly learning the entire high level of the Bible for the first time in our lifetimes. For the first time, I find myself nodding knowing the Bible stories that our pastor refers to in his sermons. It feels so good and it has been such a big accomplishment for the 5 of us. There were even times, one of us was out of town for work and we'd Face time, reading the Bible.
