Christmas Day Morning

Christmas morning was realized and exciting as normal. The kids woke up and we put our traditional breakfast egg and sausage casserole in the oven and waited until 7:30AM when Aunt Danielle, Lolli and Pops came back over to watch the kids open gifts. As always, stockings were first.

Then we moved into the game room, where Santa had left the bigger toys for the kids! The Bungo rope chairs for all three were a huge hit! Delaney finally got her "big girl" car seats and after 11 years, we returned the 2 gigantic Gracos from the back of our cars! Also at the top of Delaney's list - was a new bicycle, a choker and an Elena wand.

Addison was excited to get a super big bean bag chair, pool floats, fancy new Nike shoes, and a side table for her bean bag chair that can hold all her stuffed animals!

Besides a bungo rope chair, Carter's one and only gift was a Go Pro Hero 5 camera.

After the traditional Santa gifts, we told them they had a couple of more gifts from mom and dad. We told them to go to where Tiger gets fed and they found a hidden tray with a picture puzzle on it. They had to solve the puzzle to find out where we were heading! They were SO excited to put it together and find a picture of the 3 of them at Great Wolf Lodge from 2 years ago. They were beyond squealing with joy to find out they would be there with their cousins, Carson and Cali. What a fun gift!

Then, we told them, we had one last surprise from them. This gift finally involved the  balloons that had been hanging high since early Christmas Eve morning. When we asked them what they thought the surprise was, Carter had come to the conclusion that we were announcing that we were having another baby. He was SO excited. Addison wasn't too sold on that idea but the excitement was at an all time high. We told them to turn around and open that red and white striped bag and inside was a note and a pin cushion with 3 pins. At that moment, Blake pulled the rip cord and all the balloons started falling to the ground. The kids popped them easily and perfectly with the pins and out flew bright green paper that they had to collect to solve. It truly was the best Christmas morning gift we had ever given them and we will never forget it for the rest of our lives. I am sure the neighbors could hear the squeals of excitement as they finally put together that we were leaving that same night, for Colorado! We were going to have a white Christmas in Breckenridge!

Then, we exchanged gifts with Loli and Pops.

Blake has traded in tri-cylcle assembly for putting deer together!
