Ski Trip Stats:
The very first time, all 3 went to ski school.
Carter: 11 years exactly. This was his 4th actual ski trip - 2012, 2013, 2016, and now in 2018.
Addison: 9 years and 7 months. This was only her 2nd real time really skiing although 4th family ski trip.
Delaney: 4 years and 9 months. This was her first real time skiing and ski school, although her 2nd family ski trip.
At 8AM, we were dressed and ready for a full day of ski school for the kids and Blake and I getting our big, long day of skiing together, sans kids.

With 30" of new snow in the last 7 days and 14" of them just the previous 24 hours, there was lots of powder and Blake and I skied from Peak 8, all the way over to Peak 11 and back, just shy of 20 runs. Around 3:30-4PM, we headed back to pick up the kids at ski school and got to watch Delaney with her group. We heard every detail about Carter and Addison's day and Blake took them for one last run while I collected Delaney and all her gear and met up near the condo. We had a great dinner and hit the hot tub and game room for a super fun evening. What a great day!
Ski School notes:
CARTER: 20 months ago, in February 2016, when Carter was 9 years old, he had graduated from Level 4 and they said he would be ready for level 5 the following day, if we had taken him to ski school. This year while he had just turned 11, the instructor, at drop off, recommended him, starting at level 4 since it had been over a year. He was in a group of similar aged or slightly older boys, that he stayed with the whole day. *I regret not inviting on moving him up, as I think there were 1 or 2 boys in the group that really held Carter and one other boy back. This is also an example of how not all Level 4 groups are the same, as even Addie would say, Carter is still way better than she was even thought they were both technically Level 4 for the day. Next time, I would insist that they start him in Level 5.
ADDISON: 20 months ago in Feb 2016, was Addison's first ski trip where she actually skied and went to ski school. Back then when she was 7, she had started in level 1 and graduated that same day as level 3. This time, at 9.5 years old, she went in as level 3 and graduated within 2 hours, to level 4. Next time, I would start Addison in level 4 and encourage them to move her up when they felt appropriate.
DELANEY: Although this was Delaney's 2nd ski trip, this was the first time she actually skied and went to ski school at age 4.5. She was in Level 1, a group of all 4 year olds.
