That New Year's Eve, around 10:30 PM, in midst of all the fun, Heather and I were in Carson's room and she was showing me a blanket and Delaney had climbed up on the bed where we were looking at the photos on the blanket spread out over the bed. Delaney innocently bounced to new knees and her head came down and hit the foot board of the bed that was covered by the blanket. It was totally a fluke accident and I immediately grabbed her and wrapped her in my arms to console her and then Heather said, "there is blood everywhere." When I looked down sure enough, the corner of her left eye was gushing blood. Unsure on what do since it was so late on New Year's Eve and we were in Wylie, we timed how long it took to get the bleeding to stop. It was less than 10 minutes, so we made the hard decision to wait until morning to take her into the doctor. At 8AM, we tool her in to an urgent care nearby and had a remarkable amazing experience on New Year's Morning with a fantastic doctor. She closed it with Dermabond glue and gave us an extra tube, just in case it came open. (which it did that afternoon!)
