First Family Trip To College Station and Texas A&M University

We had the most amazing two days of exploring Texas A&M University campus and introducing it to the kids. We start truly explaining and showing them the meaning to the dozens and dozens of long-standing traditions. We taught them about the tradition of the "12th man," yell leaders, whooping and hissing, Bonfire and the Memorial from what happened in 1999, midnight yell practice, the corps, Reveille, kissing your date when the Aggies score, the Century Tree, the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, the importance of the Aggie Ring, Dixie Chicken and Bottle Cap All, just to name a few.

After dropping Carter off at Soccer Camp on Saturday night, Day 2 was filled with just as much amazing sites and tradition filled visits, including the giant Aggie Ring and the Former Student Foundation Building, unclose around Kyle Field and visiting the Reveille Memorial where all 7 of the previous School mascots are buried at the north end of Kyle Field. We also spent a couple of amazing hours at the George H Bush Presidential Library and wish we had another 2 hours to stay longer! Since Barbara Bush had just passed away 3 months prior, we got to pay our respects at her grave site.
