Addison Sees The Women's Soccer Facility at Texas A&M University & Her Journal From Her First Trip To Texas A&M

As we were driving away from Ellis Field and Addison's first time seeing the Texas A&M University's women's soccer stadium and fields, she was in the back seat. We started talking to her and Delaney about how Texas A&M University is the only school in Texas with a Veterinarian school, and it is an incredible school. She was in a super focused and serious moment and asking serious question about how college works and playing soccer in college and where veterinarian school fits in. Once she got her questions adequately answered, she confidently announced...

"Here's the plan... first I want to graduate from Johnson High school and play soccer for them, then I want to be the world's most amazing soccer player at Texas A&M and then I want to be a veterinarian. Do you think I can be both of these things?"

YES, honey, YES YOU can!

No joke. That was how it all went down around 11:30AM on July 15, 2018 driving Southwest on George Bush Drive going towards the George Bush Library.

We told her how hard she would have to continue to work from now on until all these goals are achieved. We shared with her how well respected and amazing the Texas A&M Women's Soccer program is and is currently ranked #1 in the SEC and how they were 12-1-0 last season! The team has been consistent and advanced to it's 20th consecutive NCAA Tournament. What an outstanding track record of success!

Over the two days, while in the car, in between stops, Addie kept a journal. I told her not to worry about spelling or punctuation, just to write whatever she wants to remember her first time in Aggieland:
