We had the lake house "helipad" top balcony's gate opened for the kids to jump from. Delaney said she wanted to do it and after nearly 30 minutes of standing at the edge and then stepping aside to allow the other kids to jump, Addison spent 20 straight minutes encouraging her in every way possible. Not wanting her to feel pressure, I yelled up to the top and told them not to force her and she will do it in her own time. Nash was up at the top with the kids and according to him, Delaney had given up and started walking back towards the house along the long walkway and got half way down and then just suddenly turned around and ran to the open gate and jumped. We were all beyond proud of her determination and bravery. I happened to still be underneath and caught the big jump on camera. Once she was safely in dad's arms and then out of the water, the emotions were released with tears of relief and joy. I loved seeing Addison talk to her and getting to share in the precious and memorable moment. To celebrate her bravery, it was ice cream time!
