We had a wonderful lunch.
Addie got a box set of Shirley Temple movies.
Carter was thrilled to get new Spurs gear to wear to Spurs games!
Aunt Erin and Uncle Matt gave Addie her first pair of TOMS shoes... a fad that I am sure we will look back on laughing at in twenty years.
Carter got super cool "Spy Goggles."
Carter and Addie recreating the pose from one of the gifts they gave Erin and Matt.
One of the funniest gifts we gave Grandpa was an automatic snack dispenser we filled with M&M's. The automatic laser eye insisted on dumping tons and tons of M&M's anytime we tried to get some.
Several weeks prior to Christmas Me-Me had taken the kid's Christmas shopping for Blake and myself. Look closely at my ears, the gift the kids chose for me were "blingy Christmas tree and blue disco ball" earrings. I loved them and promised the kids I would keep them forever and wear them every Christmas!
Christmas Day - 2012
Christmas week is a week I try and let go and allow the kids to leave their new toys out everywhere and let chaos be okay. This was the scene just before bed on Christmas night. As stressed as I sometimes get about messes, I want the kids to live carefree at times and know that it doesn't always have to be perfect.
