Kuykendall LBJ Lake House to Celebrate Completion of First Week of Virtual School

This was a super fun and special weekend, as it was the very first time all 16 of us had been under the same roof. We had traveled and become close with each of these 3 families over the past couple of years, which in turn, each of them had met and become super close. But this weekend was the very first time we had all spent a weekend together. I loved watching everyone interacting and connecting over the weekend, as I know these 6 other adults love my kids with all their hearts, as we do their's. Getting to laugh, tell stories, play competitive games, dive into tough conversations pool side and learn from one another is the reason a weekend like this fills all our hearts.

Our 1AM hysterical game night of the absolutely sillest game ever!

Our morning coffee talk.

Port Aransas with Blagg Side Family - Last Weekend of Summer 2020

08.16.20

A day after we got home from Colorado, we headed South to one of our favorite places... Port A. Ironically is was the same place that we officially started COVID back on March 14, 2020. We wrapped up the Summer, or rather the longest Spring Break ever, due to COVID striking the United States in early March. This was a special trip that Nancy planned for Danielle, Erin, me and all our family's, her and my dad to be together under one roof. Unfortunately, in the last few days before we left, my dad, got a little scared due to his health and COVID and made the hard decision not to come. Addie had a soccer game in Georgetown Saturday mid-morning so she and Blake stayed home and had a fun one on one weekend.

We had a super fun and late night on Friday, playing Cards Against Humanity and others, leaving us lower energy on Saturday night and back to my normal bedtime. It really was so fun just laughing so hard with my 2 sisters and step-mom and watching sweet 20 month old Stella interact with her cousins.

I got so much one on one time with Carter and meanwhile Blake and Addison had a fun weekend, together filled with sushi, soccer and tubing on the river!
