Today was all about fun at the house, a relaxing morning and then heading to explore downtown Palm Springs. We had to see the quintessential Palm Springs sign with the San Jacinto Mountains in the background, a stop at the Palm Springs Visitor Center, seeing the famous Kaufmann House where we showed the kids the best example of mid-century architecture. We tried out Lappert's Ice Cream shop, popped in some mid century art studios. Kelly and I snuck off to to see the Palm Springs Walk of Stars and found some famous statues. The guys then snuck off to "Husband Daycare," before we had dinner at Bill's Pizza, which was incredibly delicious. The boys had fun skating down North Palm Canyon Drive. On the way out of town, we had to do the Painted Door Tour of the beautiful Indian Canyon neighborhood and stop and see the famous ACE hotel. I felt like the Brady Bunch was going to walk out of one of these mid century homes. What a cool town and I am so grateful we got to explore it today and learn all about it's history.
