After Carter got out of school, Meme and Addie picked him up. We had held off telling Meme if it was a boy or girl 4 hours until she got there with the kids! They each walked in the room carrying a boy or girl gift waiting to see which it was. They had picked out an outfit for each sex. I purposely kept the baby in generic clothes and blankets and even took off the hospital hat for when they first laid eyes on their new sibling. We told them to sit down in the chair and we handed them the baby to look at and we asked them if they thought it was a boy or girl!?! All three of them, including Meme, yelled "It's a BOY!!!" We let them keep thinking it for a while as they looked it over from head to toe!
The looks on their faces was priceless when we told them they have a new baby SISTER!!
Then it was Meme's time with her.
Carter couldn't take his eyes off his new baby sister and never wanted to let go of her.
