Addie's First Kiss

Today on February 27, Addie, Blake and Carter walked into the house around 5:15, while I was finishing up dinner. Blake said, "Addie has something to tell you about something she did with Brady today." Instantly, I knew what it was but didn't want to say it out loud. Instead, I wanted to hear it from her mouth. She suddenly got shy and whiny and said no, she didn't want to tell me.
Blake said,  "Carter will tell you... he's the one Addie told while we were walking out of school." Blake was in the long hall and heard Addie say to Carter, "I need to tell you something." They were whispering and giggling and Carter said, loudly, "Oh my!" and then said, "Dad I have to you something...." Addie got shy but allowed Carter to tell him the big news. I asked Blake later what his initial reaction was and he said, "You have to be kidding me." and chuckled. He said he was calmly trying to get details of how, where and all that.
At home, Addie got all worked up telling me, probably because I wanted her to start over so I could video record it. This was Addie showing me where they kissed but she quickly clarified it was NOT like this (closing her eyes and twisting her lips back and forth.) Oh my!!!!
She finally calmed down and much later after church choir Blake and I sat down with her and asked her about it and not to allow it to happen again.
She said okay and that they were just pretending they were married and that they accidentally kissed... that she knows she doesn't kiss until she is married. realA day later, I got a text from Brady's mom telling me that Brady had in fact been told by Addie the following day, not ever again until after they get married! So we practiced what she would tell Brady if he tried it again... "Brady.... I am going to wait to kiss you again until we are married!" (The great news was a few d
At least Mr. Brady gave her a little gift today as a memento...
That evening I got both an email, call and text from Brady's mom to discuss what had happened.
