Addison Makes 7th Grade A Team Volleyball #3 as Center Back (First Ever Middle School Sports)

 Virtual 7th grade volleyball practice had been going on for the entire first 3 weeks of virtual school. On Labor Day Monday, Addison had 1 private lesson with Jordan where they spent an hour going over all the basics. This was the very first time that Addison had any type of formal instruction. I knew I really wanted them to focus on serving. Talk about a night before crash lesson!

One of the biggest reasons that Addison was super excited to return to in person Phase 1 of school was that in-person volleyball began that same day. So every single day after school from 3-4:30 PM, Addison had a blast at practice.  She would call Jordan every single day after practice to chat and update her. This was the final day that she called her to tell her that she made A team because after almost 3 weeks of tryouts, Coach _______ finally told the 11 girls that they had made "A" Team for Volleyball around September 24.

WIN against Bradley, at home on 10/1/2020. It was a super exciting and fun first game and Addison did so great with her aggressiveness and getting to the ball. It's fun seeing her play with her school friends.

WIN against Tex Hill, at Tex Hill on 10/8/2020.

WIN against Tejeda at Tejeda on 10/15/2020. Mrs. Hernandez and Danielle and Jordan came to the game! This was the first game that went to a 3rd game when they lost the 2nd game. There were several of Addison's Roan Forest friends that played for Tejeda including Avery and Sopia Esparza.

Last game of the season vs Harris and a big 3 game LOSS. After we lost the first game, we fought back to confidently win the 2nd game. We learned there is so much momentum in volleyball and it is REALLY exciting to watch! What a great first ever middle school experience Addison has had.
