Another silver lining of Corona was the immense amount of time that the kid's invested in thinking about, preparing for and pulling off a memorable Mother's Day for me. Work had started getting busy in May so they were easily able to hide their work. I woke up to a homemade breakfast where Addison had jumped out of bed, even gone to the garden to get fresh basil, since she knows how much I like it in my eggs, and have it delivered to my bed just as I was waking up for the day. The fun continued with a trip to one of my favorite places, The Slab, where is was pretty much my favorite type of morning of exploring a new place in nature.
After the slab, Blake took me on a golf cart ride and I was met at the door and escorted to my first scavenger hunt clue. Wow... did they blow me away with some of the clues, including the first one. The theme was "Memories From Family Vacations." I was so blown away! The girls made me homemade candles and Carter taught himself to make a frame and made his very first one for me!
Then, they had a late afternoon 90 minute "spa" experience set up for me. I was hoping this day would never end.
It wasn't over yet, I was told to go upstairs and put a nice dress on and dad would pick me up for dinner. Carter had prepared shrimp tacos and they kids served us out on the top of the boat dock. The time and thought they had put into this was astonishing.

The next day, I found Addison's schedule for the day. So sweet. |
Later the next week, Blake showed me pictures of him helping the girls make the candles for me. He said they were determined to make me something homemade so in the week or two leaving up to Mother's Day, they had fun learning to make candles.
