Wyoming: Day 2 - Goosewing Ranch & Delaney's First Solo Horseback Ride

The glamping camp site was like nothing we had ever seen before had 5 custom built large covered wagons. Inside, there was a very comfortable and cozy queen sized bed and 3 twin beds. After warm days with bright Wyoming skies, it cooled down dramatically at night. We had a heater inside that we had to turn on the second night. Steps from the front of the wagon door, was our own nice bathroom. The rest of the camp was set up so well. We had a "living room" nice tent to hang out in, two different fire pit areas as well as the well organized kitchen. We really had the modern conveniences of home in one of the most stunning places in the United States.

Jim's kitchen was a favorite place. The food was always delicious and hot and we learned so much hanging out with him. He taught the kids to de-vein shrimp and so much more. Jim is living the life, such a nice guy, intentionally living his best life.

This gorgeous day, we took a memorable four hour horseback ride. It was Delaney's very first solo ride and she did so well. At the half way mark up at Gun Sight, we stopped for lunch - so peaceful and warm. The kids just played with Wayne and we all just relaxed and enjoyed the natural surroundings. We laughed with Wayne and added to our list of "Cowboy Waynism's" - "I am so stressed out. This is my stressed out look."

At 10:10PM after our most favorite meal of the trip, Jim's amazing Cowboy Fondu, we sat by the fire with Jim and Wayne talked about life up here, looking constellations and talking about how they need a hot tub way up here.

Later on, Blake, Megan and Delaney were in bathroom brushing our teeth and Delaney randomly said, “My butt is still sore, even when I sit on the potty.” She will always remember her first horseback ride on her own under the Wyoming Skies.
