What an exciting winter basketball season! Blake was excited to coach the girls again in the i9 Sunday only practice and game i9 league. The girls were the only full girls team in their age group and they won first 2 games in mid January with ease.
The 4th game on 2/10 was their first defeat - they lost with controversial override of one ref to the other one, who had called a foul as Addison was shooting but the other referee overturned it with less than 10 seconds on the clock. It was a very clear foul but it turned out to be good learning experience to overcome adversity. We would come back in the final game to beat this team for the championship.
The final game the first Sunday in March was intense but Blake came with a plan and the girls came with focus, toughness and determination!
