This Summer we decided as a family to try out several new cuisines and eat like the natives do. We proactively decided to be open minded and try everything new.
Korean - Chas Market & Kitchen
We absolutely loved this place and the food. It was such an incredible first experience. Super casual, hole in the wall Korean place nearby where we picked up the kids from San Antonio Academy one Friday afternoon. We dined on delicious Beef Bulgogi. Spicy Pork Bulgogi (Carter and Megan's favorite), Korean BBQ Beef Short Ribs (Blake and Addison's favorites), perfectly cooked white rice (Delaney's favorite) and a huge assortment of traditional Korean sides. We had pickled radishes, 2 different kinds of sea weed, Kimchi (our top favorite,) which is made from salted and fermented vegetables like napa cabbage and Korean radishes, Kongnamup Muchim or Seasoned Soybean Sprouts (these were delicious), Oi Muchim which is Spicy Cucumber Salad, Mu Saegchae which is Spicy Radish Salad, Gamja Jobim which are braised potatoes (our top favorite), and more! The Korean people that work there were so incredibly nice and it couldn't have been a better first experience. We all will be talking about and ordering Korean food for the rest of our lives!
