Summer Camps 2018

June was 100% filled with Camp Tejas and Laity Lodge Youth Camp for Carter and Addison. Delaney enjoyed her last full month at Pinnacle. After a week at the lake for July 4, Summer Camps started:

1. July 9-13 - San Antonio Academy

2. July 16-20 - Delaney Pinnacle, Addison - Alamo Heights Gymnastics Camp and Carter Texas A&M University Soccer Camp in College Station

For 3 days, Addison did a "Fitness Camp" at Alamo Heights Gymnastics with her best friends Marissa. Although it was more fun than gymnastics, Addison absolutely loved getting to spend 3 full days with her good friend that she hadn't seen all Summer.

Delaney loved having Asher with her at Pinnacle and one day after school, Megan P. took the 2 of them to Morgan's Wonderland's new outdoor splash pad area.

3. July 23-27 - All 3 CBC VBS in the Morning with "Camp Julie," and "Camp Danielle" in the afternoons. Every single Summer evening this week was filled with fun activities, swimming and ice cream!

4. Aug 6-9 - Carter and Addie had Nike Basketball Camp and Delaney had her last ever week at Pinnacle.
Delaney got to see Asher every single day this week of Summer with impromptu playdates and even meeting their new principle - Mr. Specia at school.

At Nike basketball camp, it was a super intense 4 days with 9 hours of basketball and then an immediate 2 hours of soccer practice Monday - Thursday. Needless to say with these 11.5 hour non-stop days, they were exhausted at the end of the week. Mental note to probably not do Nike basketball camp the first week of soccer practices next Summer, although it was nice having them inside a cool air conditioned gymnasium in mid August and I feel like it did greatly increase their stamina for soccer practices right before the season started up.

At basketball camp. Addison set a goal of getting MVP and worked hard all week to earn the special recognition, come the end of the week. When I asked her, her favorite part about basketball camp, she said, "being there with both Ella P and Ell M and also scrimmaging and playing 3 v 3. I got fouled NON-STOP but coach never called them because he knew I was tough and wouldn't complain!"

5. Aug 13-17 - All 3 had Dominion Sports Camp

This is one of the most anticipated Summer camps of the years for the kids. This 2018 Summer marks our 10th straight summer at Dominion Summer Camp. This Summer, Carter did golf in the morning and Action Adventure in the afternoon. Addison did tennis in the morning and Action Adventure in the afternoons and of course, Delaney loved Mighty Muscles all week with Asher!

What a great Summer it was. I don't think I would have changed much!
