In late March, it was finally Delaney's turn playing soccer and in tradition, it was Blake who coached her team. i9 proved to be the absolute best program with same day practices and games on Sunday afternoons!
Delaney absolutely shocked us all by being incredibly focused and into both the game and practices. She was a scoring machine from the very first whistle of the first ever game until the end of the season. Based on her first ever season at 5, I honestly think there is a good chance she is going to blow both Carter and Addison out of the water with her soccer career!
2 weeks later, after Easter, at their 2nd practice and game:
Late April, the 4th game and practice, it started getting hotter but their endurance had gotten significantly better!
Mid May, the heat was rising, but Delaney was still on a mission! She wasn't afraid of those boys! There was one little boy she would run up to every chance she could, after a goal was scored or during a water break... that was her Asher!
On May 20, 2018 - a rogue rain storm cancelled the last game so we had our own little award presentation at home because a trophy is the whole goal when you are 5. (Well, that and snacks!)
