This May 12/13, 2018 Black and Blue tournament wasn't only momentous because they went into the finals 3-0 and won the championship confidently. But much more so, because it was the very last game that they played with Coach Heather Boss coaching them. The last 3 years have been one of the biggest blessings to Addison and her friends with Coach Heather. It's something they don't understand fully when they are 9 and 10 years old but in 20-30 years they will come full circle to appreciate what a critical role that Heather played in the girls' passion, love and development in soccer between 7 and 10 years old. We had an incredibly unique team, one that was abnormally bound tightly. When Addison, Ella P. and Ella M joined Zoe, Emme, Brooke and Abby's team 3 years ago, we knew it was special and were honored to be part of it but we had no idea that 3 years later the girls would have developed so much and MOST importantly have such a love for the game. It's truly what you dream for as a parent and player.
Final Game - Addie was in goal the first half of the last game.
Carter's first weekend, ever, that he was just a fan, cheering on both his sisters at both of their soccer games. It must have felt strange for him.
Championship Awards Presentation - I love how Coach Heather took time with every single player while giving them their medal and told a short story about them or said something special about them.
