Addison's 9 Year Old Well-Visit!

5.25.2017
9 years old
63 pounds
51 3/4 inches tall
Vision: really good
As always, I have video of your annual interview with Dr. McCray
Addison had her first ever blood draw for a one-time cholesterol check, recommended between ages 9-11, which came back perfect.
Dr. McCray was super impressed with Miss Addison and said she was in perfect health, both mentally and physically!

In her Speech articulation update: Addison started speech therapy once a week at Roan Forest in January 2017. I initiated a 2nd formal speech evaluation for her in October of 2016 . Over a year ago, while she was in 2nd grade at Vineyard Ranch, I had requested an evaluation since Addison struggled in the area of articulation, specifically with the /r/ and /l/ sounds. While they defintley acknowledged the articulation problem, they advised us to wait until she turned 8 years  old since these are late developing sounds. Since, she is well over 8, I requested an evaluation again in October 2016, 3 months after she started 3rd grade at Roan Forest. It took 3 months of paperwork to get her Wednesday morning sessions with Mrs. Lara started. But we have seen good progress in those 6 months. It's definitely not completely resolved so we will continue it once school starts again in 4th grade.
