Christmas Eve Traditions

We had a relaxing morning at home and then headed to church for the 3PM family service with my mom and Joe and The Metcalf's. We came home where the kid's opened their annual gifts from Blake and I where Carter received his 9th snow globe, this year's marking the memory of his trip to The Polar Express. Addison received her 7th Frog Prince and Addison received her second charm - a puppy dog for her to remember the year we got Tiger and how infatuated she was with her since she was an infant!

Soon, everyone started to arrive at our house for our annual Mexican FIESTA Christmas Eve celebration, where is was fun and very laid back. After everyone left, we left cookies and milk out for Santa, the kids laid their Santa bags out for the big guy in our traditional place of upstairs in the game room and the SIX of us jumped in our bed at 7:45PM (the earliest time yet!!) to read The Night Before Christmas. This was a special year for our annual reading because Carter read the entire book by himself to the family. It was truly a wonderful day and it was so nice all going to bed at an early time to get ready for the excitement of the following day!
Off to church.
