Rodeo 2013 - The Grounds

Rodeo 2013 was the most fun yet. Two big days in a row out on the grounds. The Perkins joined us on Sunday and then we did a great big family afternoon and evening to celebrate Grandpa Joe's birthday. On top of that, Carter got to Mutton Bust during Sunday's performance, where he won 2nd place with a score of an 89. (The only little girl of the 12 contestants beat him by just two points.) We all agreed we had never seen Carter so happy... you couldn't wipe the smile off his face. Then Monday, Macy, Marshall, Carter and Addie got the special privilege of being guest starters for the Calf Scramble. They were wonderful and insisted on staying the entire rest of the rodeo on Monday night where they had SO MUCH fun! We were shocked at how into the actual rodeo events they really were. One of the kid's favorite places, of course, was the petting zoo.
