Bike Rodeo (Carter's Last One & Scores 1st!)
The kids rarely ride their bikes but it was time to dust them off and participate in their school's annual bike rodeo. Addison finished with 3rd place this year and did a terrific job staying focused. It was the the single straight line that messed her up this year with her front wheel coming off the line for a split second!
Carter was awarded the 1st place trophy, ending his Elementary Bike Rodeo dynasty with 1st place trophies for 2nd, 4th and 5th grade. 3rd place for 3rd grade. I need to ask Carter how he did in Kinder and 1st.

Carter's First Orchestra Performance
One month and one day exactly after first picking up a violin, Carter and his 5th grade Strings Program had their first orchestra performance at Tejada Middle School. It goes without saying that Carter has enjoyed every single second of learning to play his first stringed instrument and has taken to it quite naturally. I clearly remember being part of this exact same NEISD 5th grade Strings Program and love that it has continued 27 years later!
