Day 1: Magic Kingdom
We all slept hard and awoke early to our own "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique" in our hotel room, to get ready for our 8:20 breakfast at the famous Disney World castle. We had lots of makeup and glitter!
Our favorite memories of the day:
When Delaney sees castle, she yelled "Disney World! Delaney was adamant about starting with the T-cup ride. She kept asking what Carter and Addie had loved when they were here, 5 years prior. Our other favorites were the the Dumbo ride, Stories with Bell and It's a Small World. The Pooh ride was disappointing, especially after a 40 min wait.
After a 7:50 AM park arrival via the ferry, at 2:45PM we were still going somewhat strong in "Tomorrowland" on the People Mover. 8 hours later, at 3:45 PM, we had loaded the bus back to the hotel where we enjoyed a nap from around 4:30-7PM. We had a quick dinner at the hotel and got back to Magic Kingdom around 8:55PM, perfect time to walk in and immediately watch the big castle fireworks - Wishes. Afterwards, near the exit, we ran in to meet TinkerBell. The perfect ending to a perfect day. I am so glad we came back to see the nighttime fireworks on Day 1 because I don't think we would have had the energy, nor the motivation otherwise.
Late that night, we had a 30 minute wait for monorail but after such a good nap, Delaney was in great spirits. When I asked what her favorite part of the day was, she said, "meeting Belle was my favorite because she gave me the bookmark and I'm going to give it to Addie!" It was so sweet! Another favorite memory of the day was watching her and Yaya eat their Micky Mouse ice cream bars.
Some what surprising, Delaney was so open to trying new things, especially when we told her Carter and Addison had loved it, so many years before. She tried the Buzz Light Year ride and LOVED it- right when we walked out of the ride she yelled, "It's my favorite!"
She wanted her first ride to be the Royal Carousel but since it was under renovation, she was excited for the T-cups!
Dumbo:
Our Top 3 very favorite: Story Time with Belle
We loved the Under The Sea - Story of Little Mermaid Ride!
The Winnie The Pooh Ride:
Then it got hot and she got tired, standing in line for It's A Small World:
After a bite to eat for lunch and a wardrobe change, we were ready to go meet more princesses - Rapunzel and Tiana! Tiana was one of my absolute favorite princesses we met the whole trip, along with Snow White and Merida of Brave!
A quick nap before Mickey's Philharmonic began was a great place to cool off!
We were off to Tomorrowland where she really wanted to "drive the cars" and was super disappointed when her feet were too short.
We took a break and cooled off with a famous Mickey Mouse ice cream bar just before taking ride on the Buzz Light Year ride!
It was hot hot hot, so we took a spin on the People Moover and toured the area from the sky!
We headed toward the front gates and found a spot to watch the famous "Festival of Fantasy Street Parade."
What we looked like a full 8 hours after walking in the park gates!
After a nice break fro 4:30 - 7PM, we had the bus to ourselves heading back over to Magic Kingdom for the Wish's Fireworks Show, which was being retired just about a week after we there.
Wow! What a big day!
