It's Carter's very favorite time of the year... Basketball! This year he has gotten the opportunity to play in 2 separate leagues. A new one, called the Runners. This team is one his Classics soccer teammate, Boston Babiarz's long time teams. The team is filled with all 6th and 7th graders and they have played in the SOA league. They have done really well this entire season!

Blake's 40th was on a Wednesday. He woke up leaner and more in shape than ever, weighing in at the least I've ever seen him in 15 years. He's working out or running 4-5 week for the past 6 months. I am amazed at how well is is eating and so proud of him. The kids got up early to help decorate and Blake started going through all his cards and gifts from family and friends, celebrating the huge day! Heather sent him the most amazing photo book with several pictures from all 40 years of his life. It truly was the most amazing gift. Since the tradition is the birthday person gets to choose anything they want to have for breakfast, Blake had chosen a Sunny-side Up egg sandwich! Can you believe I didn't even know who to make them. But after some homework and prep the night before, I threw down some of the most delicious and perfectly cooked Sunny Side eggs, ever.
For his birthday, from the family, he gots lots of Under Armor Bandon Dunes clothes for his upcoming golf round this Summer at the famous Bandon Dunes, off the gorgeous Oregon Coast. Blake could choose ANY place he wanted for lunch and decided to be sentimental, opting to meet at a place that has the best raw oysters in town. See, 15 years ago, exactly, Blake and I's first dates were at a College Station Oyster place. It was so sweet and so much fun.
That evening, it was a normal busy evening. Carter had Cotillion and Blake went and led his 4 and 5 years olds at church choir before taking Carter for his late evening basketball practice.
The following night, we continued the celebration with a very rare and fun night out on the town with dinner and drinks at Down on Grayson and the rodeo with friends.
