First Day Of School (3rd & 2nd Grade)

Nine and a half hours later, I picked them up from KINS and Carter didn't stop talking about the third grade protocols and organization and homework and supplies and agenda book and homework and how is teacher labeled all his notebooks and how they are selling pencils later in the year for the third grade project and that he keeps his markers IN their box and colored pencils OUT of their box and how he HAS to read for thirty minutes every single day and how he may have 3-5 math homeworks A DAY and how he has volunteered to bring the "class pet" home for 3 weeks. (It better not be a snake!) We had to cut him off when he hadn't taken a single bite of his dinner after 25 minutes of us all sitting at the table.

Addison, on the other hand, told us who sits near her and showed us a picture she had drawn and written about. Oh and then she threw in something about playing a game with M&M's whe talking about their summer.

It was a pretty perfect day.

Out "Kidless" Fredricksburg Getaway & Kayaking.

50 hours of no laundry, washing dishes, cooking meals, reminding a two year to try and go "potty" or feeding a dog. It was a super fun and relaxing getaway that started with a kayaking tour on The San Marcos River near Martindale. Our guide, Herb (herbnordmeyer@gmail.com) with Texas Nature Kayaking was the perfect laid back guide for our 4-5 hours.

We then drove toward Fredricksburg stopping along the way for whatever we wanted (which is so different compared to traveling with three little people and the eye only on the destination!) At one point, we even pulled a "U-ie" when we passed the sign that said Luckenbach, Texas. I had always wanted to go and this was the perfect Saturday afternoon to explore and have a cold beer in the famous town.

Once in Fredricksburg, for the next two nights, we just did a little of everything- Relaxing, pool time, sleeping in, sprinting up to the summit of Enchanted Rock (in 12 minutes), wineries, fun restaurants, and did I mention - sleeping in!? It was a perfect gift from Blake's mom and our first little getaway in exactly a year. Thank you Diane!!

Dominion Summer Camp

7.17.15
It was Carter's 6th year for Dominion Camp and Addie's 5th year. Wow... it is still one of their favorite camps every summer. Addison is turning into quite the little athlete this summer and is getting so strong. We are so thankful to Grandpa and YaYa for spoiling them with this great camp experience every summer.

Aunt "Hey Hey" & Delaney - "Selfie"

7.8.15
Aunt Hey Hey taught Delaney (almost 2.5) what a "selfie" is.
