Dear Delaney,
You, at 15 months, are still, absolutely wearing your mommy and daddy out. I just spent an entire week at home with you this week, while your school was closed for their annual training. You CAN'T STAND to be in a room alone for more than one second. You must have a clear sightline to your daddy or myself, even Carter and Addie, usually won't cut it. You are very, VERY needy, always wanting "up!" You TALK all the time and we are learning your words for water or milk is something like a rolling of the "L," like "la-la-la." The funniest part of all your new talking is after "da," was your very first word early on for daddy and everything else, you now call Mommy and Daddy, "Ma-Ma," NONSTOP. Your eyes are incredibly blue still and you are absolutely gorgeous, so at least you have that going for you right now while you are such a difficult toddler. Your 8th tooth that we thought had broken through three months ago, finally broke through this week. All month, you were randomly waking up around 4AM screaming and that recently stopped once we saw this tooth break the gum. Hallelujah! We can't wait to see what we have in store with you when your back molars start coming in next. In the last two weeks, you have become obsessed (not exaggerating) with books. You alternate between your father's and my's lap, where you turn around and back up to sit right in the smack middle of our lap. You have your two or three favorite books, especially the yellow Baby Animals, where you call everything with four legs, "Tiger!" It is funny how you let out a growl every time you see the Lion, too! Yes, we know we have made you quite confused having a dog named "Tiger," because every dog or cat you see, you yell out a perfect, "Tiger!" Through it all, Miss Delaney, we adore you and love you so much and know you have been put here on Earth to achieve great things!
Love,
Mommy
