On Delaney's actual first birthday, Saturday, March 8, 2014, we held a little cake smashing party for her with only family, immediate neighbors, The Perkins and Cindy. Blake made this little mini lemonade stand, my mom arranged ALL the amazing flowers at the party and my dear friend Cindy made 4 dozen cupcakes and the Delaney's personal large "lemon" cake! My mom had my original wooden high chair refinished just in time for the party! We served Lemonade Summer Shandy beer, Lemon infused sparkling water and pink lemonade of course! There was tons of food and a huge assortment of "lemon" flavored desserts! One of my favorite decorations were the 24 pictures of Delaney's first year stuck in fresh lemons all around the house.
