Twas The Night Before Christmas!

12.24.13
After everyone had left, we put out the milk and cookies for Santa, changed into some warm new Christmas pajamas, kissed Delaney and put her to bed. We four then curled up in Addie's bed this year and read (for the 8th year with kids) Twas' The Night Before Christmas at 8:30PM (an all time early night!) ;) It was a wonderful night. I will always remember Addie trying to recite the story by heart before we kissed good night.

Christmas Eve Dinner

12.24.13

Then it was time for our annual "sibling gift exchange." I think Addie could be a poster child for expressions when opening gifts! She was ecstatic when she opened the Pistachios from Carter!!
Carter, our "sock snob" was beyond thrilled when he opened his VERY favorite brand of socks from Delaney! Ahhhh.... the simple pleasures in life!
Delaney could care less about the stiff bib picked out by her brother but mom is excited if it keeps more food off the floor!

Carter's new golf game from Addie was a hit but we quickly had to put it away with a nine month old in the house considering the number of tiny balls that were all over the place!
Christmas Eve dinner at 6PM with the family was low key, simple and perfect and left plenty of time for us to enjoy our annual Christmas Eve traditions as a family.

Carter's 7th Birthday: Donuts & Sushi

12.18.13
For his breakfast, he chose donuts!

And for his special dinner, he decided he wanted his own platter of sushi!

He got a Nintendo DS3 from all of us and Ya-Ya and Grandpa got him his much sought after walkie-talkies!

Happy Birthday to our sweet seven year old!

Santa Came To Visit!

12.11.13

Megan and I decided to ask Santa if he would come see us this year and I have to admit it was the best thing ever!
