Randomness: October 15 - November 15, 2015

Just a few candid moments when I look back, on my phone, over the last month. Tiger got a new "cave" that is working well to get her off our bed, the Randolph Air Show, Blake and I had all Parent Teacher Conferences for all 3 kids, Blake and I have both had some work trips, fun night out with Gracious Gift, lots of soccer games, Carter's very first busted lip from playing "tag!" and Addie's 2nd grade field trip to The Witte Museum.

Addison & Tumbling

For well over a year now, Addison has consistently been very into tumbling, doing the splits, back-bends, and anything like that anytime she can. She will even watch lessons on YouTube and then teach herself different things in the front yard. She had started gymnastics a couple of years ago at a big gym, less than a quarter mile from our house and I was incredibly disappointed with their program and lack of any progression. It seemed more like a entry level gymnastics "mill" instead of them caring about the kids. Her class had 15-20 kids in it with one coach majority of the time who didn't even really seem to care about tier job. So that is when she started dance - Jazz and loved it but I still felt like her passion and heart was with tumbling and was praying for a way to help make it happen at a different gym. That is when one of Addsion's sweet friend's mom told me she was taking her daughter to an amazing gym 25 minutes away and would be happy for Addison to come home with go with them to tumbling every week. It has been a HUGE answer to a BIG prayer. Addsion is absolutely LOVING it and the progression she has made in just the first 4 classes is amazing!

Addison's First Savings Account (7 years old)

Carter opened his savings account about 2.5 years ago and it was time for Addison to have one, as well. She saved up over $100 dollars and so it was time. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Kendra, who was live on the computer helping Addison open the account was so awesome and really helped make the event super meaningful and special!

APEX Fun Run

It's out 4th year for this school fundraiser and it turned out to be a picture perfect day! It happened to be "Crazy Hair Day" for Red Ribbon Week too! We are thankful to all the grandparents who donated money per lap that both Carter (3rd gr) and Addison (2nd gr) ran this year. Although the official "max" is 36 laps... Our over achievers both did 53 total! It was a great morning!

Carving Pumpkins

The weekend before Halloween was a rainy weekend and perfect for sitting out in the garage and doing the pumpkin thing. Blake loves carving fun pumpkins, so in honor of the two youngest girls in our house, we did Rapunzel and Tiger!

Halloween Night!

10.31.2015

It was a "first" for us. Our "first" night, in 9 Halloween's with kids, away from our beloved Oakwood Neighborhood. We joined the Perkins in their neighborhood for their Halloween party and trick-or-treating on a hayride.

Reminder: Add iphone pics from this night.
