We hadn't even purchased a pumpkin on the morning of October 30, but it all worked out nicely when the first major cold front blew in and rain cancelled that Wednesday evening's soccer. Most of the city was sold out of pumpkins so Blake improvised and found 3 cooking pumpkins inside Whole Foods. We laugh and say the "warty" one is to remind us this is the first year the entire family has loved watching Dr. Pimple Popper. 

We cooked BBQ, pulled all the Halloween decorations out, decorated and carved pumpkins,roasted pumpkins seeds and even roasted Smores in the inside fire using all the mini chocolate candy we had, which made them even more delicious. It was such a relaxing night at home that came at the best time.

Delaney Lost Her First Tooth at School.

How it Happened According to Delaney

"When we got to school, we did a lot of stuff, like write down if we are wearing our spirit shirts. Then we went to the carpet and did things like habits and I was just sitting  down, and was like what is this thing in my mouth? It was going back and forth so I took it out. And it was my tooth! Guess what, it never 'bleeded.' There was a dot of blood on the tooth but there was none in my mouth. I went up to Ms. Ortiz and she wrote me a note to go to the nurse. The nurse gave me this necklace and told me to wash my mouth out. Just like Fancy Nancy. The nurse said put the tooth in the necklace and she taped it up but it kept opening but I got it closed.I even have a pillow to put it in. I knew it was going to be close to Halloween! I told you! It feels like there is a little tunnel and my tongue can go through. My friend Emma has lost 4 teeth."

Addison Straighened Her Hair For The First Time

I got home from Orange Theory around 6:10AM and this is the sight I found. Addison had remembered to tell us it was school photos at 8:30PM, the night before and Blake agreed to get up with her at 5:30AM to help her straighten her hair. I had not clue. When I asked how they figured out how to do this, they said they watched a YouTube video!

I will always remember the very first time that I had my hair straighten by the lady that cut my hair at that age. I am certain that like myself, Addison will never forget this moment in life! In fact, since she didn't have soccer practice of games over the long holiday weekend, she got to enjoy it for several days. We constantly found her petting her hair and running her fingers through it and even found her stopping to look at her reflection in the oven door.
