Grandparents and Megan Perkins In Charge for 7.5 days, While We Were In Hawaii!

After weeks and weeks of preparation, we were as prepared as we could be to leave the 3 kids, ages 11, almost 10 and 5 years old with Ya-Ya and Grandpa, MeMe Diane. Megan Perkins was a critical part of their daily routine, picking them up for school in the mornings and getting them to other extra circular activities. She even had Delaney spend the night the very first Monday night, while YaYa and Grandpa took the older kids to the evening FIESTA parade. Delaney got to wake up in the Perkins house the morning of Asher, Easton and Uncle Mike's birthday. How exciting!

Diane came in Wednesday through Sunday night, leaving the crack of dawn, Monday morning to get back to work in Tyler. We didn't get home until after lunch time that Monday, almost 8 days after leaving, but we were SO impressed with how well everybody did!

We are so grateful to everyone that did SO much to allow Blake and I to get away for the first time in SEVERAL year and the longest amount of time ever. We absolutely know there is no way that we could have done it without Cheryl, Diane, Megan and Nancy!

Hawaii: Day 7 (Lounge, Eat, Explore, Repeat!)

Day 7: Sunday April 29, 2018

Our flight out Sunday wasn't until almost 10PM, so we had ALL day to just relax and explore together. We slept in and had a our final breakfast brought to us in our room and enjoyed it over looking Kings Pond. After we checked out of room around 1PM, we just started exploring the hotel grounds.

Hawaii: Day 6 (Spa, Golf & Full Relaxation Mode)

Day 6: Saturday April28, 2018

We woke up to some rain which caused my much anticipated helicopter tour to be cancelled so I opted for a spa facial instead.

Blake spent the day at the golf course which he was so excited about.

We had lunch on the beach a rare afternoon nap day and exploring the property before the final beach party. We definitely had adjusted to more of a low key and relaxing vacation by the last few days of the trip!
