September 8, 2013 - A few snap shots & memories of 6 months!
During your 6th month of life, you:
- officailly weigh 17.1 pounds at your 6 month well child visit
- are eating 5 times a day and I am nursing morning and night and pumping at lunch
- sleeping 10 hours straight, 7:30 PM to 5:40 AM nearly every single night this month
- got much clingier this month
- are still naturally figitidy, your legs and arms are going at all times even when you are nursing. Your free hand is constantly moving and pulling on my hair while you nurse
- get so excited when you see your bother, a sippy cup or even my glass of wine. I love the baby grunts of excitement!
- transistioned at 6.5 months, to only nursing two times a day and started having tummy issues with the Gentle Ease formula that you were eating 3 of the 5 bottles a day.
- got your first tooth on September 24 at exactly 6.5 months (your bottom right!)
- got your second bottom tooth 48 hours after the first.
- it was a tough month 6 with transitioning to formula and teething. You revolted in serious way and suddenly became very sensitive and wanted to be held ALL the times. Daycare called for the first time and said you were inconsolable and walked in to find you screaming irratically... clearly something was wrong since we introduced milk based formula... we tried different brands since Dr. McCray preferred not doing soy due to some recent soy contament issues.
- We finally made call to switch to all soy formula knowing we couldn't go on like this for another week. Within 24 hours, you were 80% back to normal and Dr. McCray said it defintley sounded like milk allergy and not introduce ANY milk until 9 months
- On October 1, you were confidently up on all fours and pushing backwards
- On October 3, we found that you in your crib in the morning sitting up all on your own for the first time.
